The SuperWiper® 8″ NVMe + SATA portable unit is extremely fast data erase unit with 2 SATA ports, 3 e-SATA ports, 2 NVMe ports, 8 USB3.0 ports, and one Thunderbolt 3.0 port that can erase and wipe data from Hard Disk Drives, Solid State drives and USB storage devices. The unit is very compact and easy to carry. The unit top performances of speed are: 28GB/min when erase used with Solid State Drive(SATA SSD) and 10GB/min when erase is used with 1TB WD SATA Hard Disk Drives, and 93.7GB/min with NVMe SSD (Samusng MZVPV512HDGL). The unit built-in with 8″ Touchscreen color LCD display, 2 NVMe ports, 2 SATA-3 ports, 8 USB3.0 ports, 1GbE port, 3 e-SATA port, DP port and TB 3.0 port. The SuperWiper erase application is very efficiently under Linux OS and it very easy to use, and with a few clicks the user is up and running.

The Drive’s Erase feature:
Support DoD 5220-22M (ECE) (7 write passes and 1 verify pass), DoD Lite 5220-223M (E) (3 write passes and 1 verify pass), Security Erase, Enhanced Security Erase, Sanitize, and User Erase Mode protocols. It designed to run a very efficiently in a continues erase mode operation, where each port is act and perform separately. 
The Drive’s Diagnostics feature: 
Support three S.M.A.R.T. drive tests and one Read-Verify test . The user can select to run: S.M.A.R.T. Short Test (2-5 minutes), S.M.A.R.T. Extended Full Test, S.M.A.R.T. Conveyance Test, to evaluate the “health” condition of the drive prior to the erase operation. In addition the user can select to run Read-Verify test to identify any bad sectors or “weak media” on the drive.
The unit supports erase of up to 12 storage devices, in a simultaneous parallel erase operations.
The SuperWiper application generates a detailed log file and NIST 800-88 erase certification in PDF format, for each hard drive that have been successfully erased. The erase operation is a NIST 800-88 compliance when it used with DoD 220-22M (ECE, E) protocols. For Security Erase, Enhanced Security, Sanitize Erase and User Erase mode, the user must select to run the erase with a one pass of verify to be compliance with NIST 800-88

HPA/DCO Automatic Supports: The application has the ability to automatically open HPA and DCO areas and resize the hard drive to its full native capacity in order to erase any “hidden data” (HPA/DCO are special areas on the hard disk drive that support this feature)

Bad Sectors Handling: The user can select to skip bad sectors/blocks, or abort the operation when it encounters bad sectors/block of sectors on the drive

Log Files: Audit trail in PDF, XML format with ability to customize the reports and adding the user company’ logo. The user can select how to label the log file (erase date and time, drive model and drive serial number, or by the user input it’s own id at time of the run)

Drive Diagnostics with S.M.A.R.T. drive tests(SATA only) and Read-Verify test(All Media) : If user intend to erase drive for re-use purpose, it would be recommended to to run some “Health test” on the drive prior to erase process. There are 4 available diagnostics tests: Three S.M.A.R.T. drive tests such as S.M.A.R.T. Short Test (2-5 minutes) which scan random area on the drive, S.M.A.R.T. Extended Full Test (Can take hours) that scan the entire drive, or S.M.A.R.T. Conveyance Test that identify damage incurred during transporting of the drive, to evaluate the “health” condition of the drive prior to erase operation. 
The 4th test is Read-Verify test, which supported by all the storage media, and it is the best practice to check if there are any bad sectors on the media or if there are areas on the media that are considered as “weak media”

Parallel operations:

Multiple Session Operations: The user can run a multiple efficient parallel operation on any available ports, or he can combine more than one port/storage devices in the same sessions. Also the user can mix different type of operations, and each operation is set as a new independent session. An example of operations: Erase data with DoD protocol from a drive using one port, Quick Format a drive using the second port, while performing the user-erase on other drives on the remaining ports.

Drive Detection Application Screen: All hard disk drives and storage devices that are connected to the units will be scanned and displayed in one application screen, called “the detection screen”. The user can tap on each drive to get its detailed info, as well as selecting it for the desired operation they are planning to use

Multiple Session Application Screen: All running sessions are displayed in one Application Screen. The application screen shows the name of the session, the operation of the session, the error or abortion flag, completion progress bar, successful completion flag. User can abort a session, tap on a session to monitor its real time running progress and get detailed setting. It is a very easy way to view, navigate, and control the sessions

2 Main Modes of Options:

Continuous Mode: The user can run continuous erase operations with a multiple session operation. Each port, whether SAS/SATA or USB, can be used as an independent session for the erase operation. The user plugs a device into a port and can then run a session with the erase operation on the selected port. The user can abort the operation in the middle of the run, independent of other running sessions. When an erase session is completed, the user can continue to remove the erased device from the port and replace it with another device that needs erasing. All of this is possible while other sessions are still continuously running

Batch Mode: The user can select and run a single session with certain ports and devices. For example, the user can combine all 12 attached storage devices into one session

More Erase Ports:

With the use of USB3.0 to SATA fast adapters and with the combination of e-SATA port, the unit can support erase up to 13 SATA drives.

Erase and Quick Format Operation:

Drive Erase Protocols: DoD 5220-22M (ECE) with 7 write passes and 1 verification, DoD Lite 5220-22M (E) with 3 write passes and 1 verification, Security Erase, Enhanced Security Erase, Sanitize, or a User-Defined the Final Data Filling Pattern, and the number of erase iterations. (Security Erase, Enhanced Security Erase, Sanitize, and DoD erase protocols are NIST 800-88 compliance)

Quick Format: NTFS, FAT, exFAT, HFS+, EXT2-4

Erase Certification: The application can generates NIST 800-88 report that are easy to export to USB flash drive

Expansion Capabilities:

Thunderbolt 3.0 cable: Enable the user to directly connect the SupweWiper 8″ T3 unit to a Mac that has TB 3.0 port

Thunderbolt 3.0 to Thunderbolt 2.0 with 1394 adapter: It plug directly to the main unit’s TB 3.0 port , and enables the user to connect to 1394 drives or to a Mac internal drive via the Mac’ TB 2.0 port or 1394 port (when the Mac is booted in a target mode). That save the user to purchase the TB Expansion Box

PCIE Express card controller: Enables the user to plug and capture the data from PCIE memory cards like Sony SXS

USB3.0 to SATA Adapters and Kits Option: Today USB3.0 technology is extremely fast and can run read data from SSD drives up to 20GB/min. With the use of USB3.0 to SATA 4 channel Kit, the user can convert 4 USB3.0 ports to 4 SATA ports on any of MediaClone units. The optional Kit is supplied with one external PS, and it includes all the cabling to power and connects the 4 USB3.0 to SATA adapters.The tested performance when running 4 adapters in parallel was measured at a very high speed, with a very little speed degradation

SCSI KIT Option: This option includes SCSI PCIE X1 single port controller, 2 channel SCSI LVDS cable (68 pins connectors), SCSI terminator, and VHDCI to 68 pins SCSI adapter (with purchasing of the TB 3.0 Expansion Box)

1394 Option: This option is supplied with 1394A/B PCIE 1x controller – (with purchasing of the TB 3.0 Expansion Box)

NVMe KIT: This option is supplied with PCIE NVME controller and with NVMe (M.2 and 2.5″) external adapters that enable the user to capture data from any NVMe SSD (with purchasing of the TB 3.0 Expansion Box)
